What should you be grateful for in 2020? This year has been crazy for everyone, myself included. There have been so many hardships that started this year. It is pretty hard to think of what can we be grateful for this year. We were lead to stress, anxiety, and depression.
But there are many things to be grateful for. They are usually the things that are taken for granted. Important things, but we tend to neglect. I will share some of those things here.
Grateful For Your Life
Be grateful for your life. This is by far one of the most neglected aspects we should appreciate more of. Especially if you live in a first-world country, first-world problems are all that we think about. Be grateful that you are living in a world that may not be perfect, but has beautiful things within it. Enjoy nature and the things that it has to offer you.
If depression is hitting you and is serious, then go to a professional that can help you. Do not neglect and throw away your life. Not everything in this world is bad. There are good things and good people who can help you along the way. Which leads me to my second point.
This goes with your physical health as well. It doesn’t matter what kind of body type you have. Be grateful that you can breathe, eat, sleep, and enjoy life.
Grateful For Your Family
Be grateful for your family. Yes, you have been with them a lot because of quarantine, but it is sad to think that it took a pandemic to have actual quality time with your family. We still tend to take our family for granted and realize it when a member passes away. Remember that they will always be there for you in good times and bad. You may not always agree with them, but they are doing what they believe is right for you and you should appreciate that. This adds on to our next point.
Grateful For Your Friends
Be grateful for your friends. No, I am not talking about the hundreds of friends that follow you on social media. I am talking about the handful of friends that have been with you since day one. These are the friends who truly care about you and your well being. Them, along with your family, will always look out for you whenever you need it. Be grateful for that because if they don’t look out for you, then who will?
For Your Home
Be grateful for your home. Another piece where we take for granted. There are a growing number of homeless people here in America and there are other countries where people don’t even have a home. Appreciate the fact that you have a roof to live under and have the means to feed yourself.
What should you be grateful for in 2020? Honestly, everything big and small. Be grateful for your home, your friends, your family, and your life. Understand that even if there are hardships in life, the outcome will depend on how you view it. If you focus on all the negativity, then your life will feel dark and terrible. If you focus on the good things, then you’ll find that light at the end of the tunnel, and being grateful is a good starting point for that change of perspective. With gratitude comes humility, and with humility, love, and growth for a brighter tomorrow.
With that, I just personally want to say thank you. Thank you for your patience with me because I know I haven’t posted anything for a while now. I had my battles, losing loved ones because of this pandemic, and trying to find the light again. Now I believe I am ready to move forward again and reach towards that light. This is short compared to my other content, but this is what I want to share with you because I want my content to be transparent and true.
I did not feel ready to share content during my trials, but now I am back. I am ready to serve you once again and bring hope, love, and opportunities for you to have a brighter tomorrow as well.
